Hero Group (Lenzburg, Switzerland), majority owned by Dr Arend Oetker since 1995 per Hero's own history page, acquired Baby Gourmet in January 2021. Hero's acquisition press release states founders Jennifer Carlson and Jill Vos stayed on "as officers and shareholders," so a minority Canadian stake is estimated since no percentage is disclosed.

Baby Gourmet's FAQ states fruit and vegetable purees and snacks are made in Canada, cereals and meat products in the USA, and three protein meals in France ("mentioned on all of our packaging"). The CA/US/EU split is estimated from the site's 66 listed SKUs: 3 cereals and 7 meat meals fall into the US/France group, the remaining 56 purees and snacks are Canadian-made.

Baby Gourmet's FAQ says ingredients are sourced domestically or within the USA when possible, but that some ingredients such as bananas and pineapples naturally grow outside North America. No sourcing percentages are published; about 38% of the site's 66 SKUs list a tropical ingredient (banana, mango, avocado, coconut), so OTHER is weighted heavily as an estimate.
