Crofter's Organic

Founded in 1989 by Gerhard and Gabi Latka in Parry Sound, Ontario, and still described as family owned and run with their children Dan, Luke and Sebastian. A Corporations Canada federal search for Crofter's Food Ltd returned zero results, consistent with a small Ontario-incorporated private company; the Ontario Business Registry itself blocks automated search, so provincial incorporation records were not checked directly.

All spreads are made at the company's own plant in Parry Sound, Ontario; the site describes a new, sustainability-focused production facility completed in early 2018 that fills 350 jars per minute. No other manufacturing site is named.

The vendor's own fruit-sourcing page names an origin country or region for each fruit varietal it buys: Turkey, Serbia, China, Chile, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil for most berries, stone fruit and mango; Italy, Poland and Spain for grapes, black currant and peach; and Quebec for wild blueberry and cranberry. The mix here weights each listed varietal equally, since the vendor does not publish purchase volumes by country, so most of the weight lands in OTHER with smaller EU, CA and US shares.
