The last 10-K filed with the SEC shows Rainy Day Investments Ltd. of Mount Royal, the holding company of founder Herschel Segal, at 45.5 percent and DOMO Capital Management of Wisconsin at 10.3 percent (11.4 percent in its January 2023 13G/A), with about 31 percent of shares held by four US holders of record; the company then moved its listing from Nasdaq to the TSX Venture Exchange in April 2023, and CBC reported in May 2025 that Rainy Day remains the largest shareholder after Segal's death. Corporations Canada lists DAVIDsTEA INC. as an active CBCA corporation with all five directors resident in Canada. The 0.85 to 0.15 split is an estimate weighting Segal family control and the Canadian listing against the documented US minority; SEDAR+ returned HTTP 403 so post-2022 shareholdings could not be checked.

The 10-K states that the company owns no blending operations and that many of its tea blenders are in Germany or the United States, while it assembles finished goods at a leased 61,500 square foot production facility in Montreal and distributes from Longueuil; the vendor's wholesale page today says all shipping, labelling and packaging happens at its Montreal homebase. Half is credited to Canada for the packing and assembly step and the rest split evenly between the German and US blenders, an estimate since the filing gives no shares. The CANADA List's note that teas are blended in Canada conflicts with the filing and was not used.

The 10-K reports 204 full-time and 174 part-time employees, all in Canada, across the Mount Royal head office, the Montreal production and distribution operations, and a store network that was entirely Canadian after the 2020 restructuring closed every US store. Corporations Canada gives the registered office on Ferrier Street in Mount Royal and Canadian addresses for all directors.

The 10-K lists teas and blend ingredients sourced from China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Kenya, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Thailand and Canada, and the vendor's sustainability page names the Jun Chiyabari garden in Nepal and South African rooibos. Tea leaves do not grow in Canada, so the bulk is OTHER; the small Canadian, EU, and US shares cover packaging, tins, and Canadian botanicals, and blended tea arriving from German and US blenders, and are an estimate.
