Local press names David Farran, a former Big Rock Brewery executive from the Millarville area, as founder, president, and CEO, and the company has its own board of directors with no parent named anywhere. Corporations Canada returns no federal corporation, so this is most likely an Alberta corporation, and the Alberta Corporate Registry could not be checked; the shareholder register and any minority investors behind the board are unverified. The CANADA List lists it as an independent Canadian-owned distillery.

The vendor says its whisky, gin, and vodka are distilled at the Turner Valley distillery and matured there, and product pages describe each spirit as made at the distillery from Alberta grain. Whether the canned cocktails are filled on site or by a contract canner is not stated, but the base spirits are still Eau Claire's own.

Single-site business: the distillery, tasting room, speakeasy, and offices are all at 113 Sunset Boulevard SW in Turner Valley, and the careers page hires there. A chief growth officer with a US industry background was appointed in 2024 to lead US and European sales, which does not move the mix at this size.

Barley and rye are Alberta grown, partly from the distillery's own horse-farmed acres, and the water is drawn from the Sheep River basin, but the whisky is matured in ex-bourbon barrels, which are American, and in sherry and Pedro Ximenez casks from Jerez, and the gins use imported botanicals such as juniper and citrus alongside Alberta rosehip and Saskatoon berry. Glass, cans, and closures are not disclosed, so the split is an estimate. The store runs on Shopify, a Canadian platform.
