Directors are Segal (Toronto), Shane Parrish (Ottawa), Finkelstein (Westmount) and Rob Fraser (Victoria), so ownership is entirely Canadian with no outside investor on the register; the profile notes annual filings are overdue.

The privacy policy gives the company address as 19 Monkland Avenue, Ottawa, the Montreal Gazette reported in January 2022 that Firebelly is based in Ottawa with a handful of employees, and the careers page lists no open positions, consistent with a small team. The registered office is Segal's Toronto address and all four directors live in Canada.

Every product page lists the country of each ingredient: sencha, gyokuro and matcha from Japan, black tea from India and Assam, rooibos from South Africa, yerba mate from Brazil, and herbs and fruit from Paraguay, Croatia, Bulgaria, Chile, Argentina, Albania, Poland, China, Bolivia, Peru, Germany, France, the USA, Indonesia, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Italy, Australia, Portugal and Macedonia. Tea does not grow in Canada, so the bulk is OTHER; the split is an estimate weighting the tea leaf base over the herbal additions, with the EU share covering the European botanicals, the US share peppermint, and the small Canadian share the Shopify platform the store runs on, since the origin of the compostable pouches and display boxes is not stated.
