Groupe Lacasse

Groupe Lacasse's own company history states it was sold to the American group Haworth in 2002 and bought back in 2013 by chief executive Sylvain Garneau (50 percent) together with founder Guy Lacasse and his son Robin Lacasse (50 percent), a buyout a February 2021 board of directors press release confirms by naming the same three men as shareholders. Sylvain Garneau is still named president and chief executive in a July 2026 vendor news item, and a dealer's brand partner page lists Lacasse separately from Global Furniture Group, so no evidence of a later sale to that group or its Feldberg family turned up. The Registraire des entreprises du Québec returned a 403 error, so this rests on vendor statements rather than a registry.

A federal government supply arrangement brochure on the vendor's own site states plainly that all of its products are manufactured at its plants in Sainte-Pie, Quebec, and that those plants run an ISO 14001 environmental management system. Its only other disclosed North American locations are by appointment showrooms in Toronto, Chicago, and New York, which are sales offices rather than factories.

Head office and the manufacturing plants are in Saint-Pie, Quebec, and a February 2021 press release put staff at more than 700 people across the company's Canadian and American facilities without giving a split. The only disclosed US sites are by appointment showrooms in Chicago and New York, so most of that headcount is assumed to remain at the Saint-Pie site and this split is an estimate.

The same federal supply arrangement brochure states that 95 percent of the materials and components used in its office furniture come from Canada. A sustainability page names 100 percent recycled particleboard as its main raw material and says it deals with local suppliers when possible; the remaining five percent is not itemized, so it is assumed to be sourced from the US given the company's integrated North American supply chain.
