A 2010 Chronicle Herald article corroborates this, describing the low-emission roaster the company was then running in Lunenburg. No outside roasting or co-packing facility is mentioned anywhere.

Green coffee cannot be grown in Canada, so every bean Laughing Whale roasts is imported. Its stated coffee partners are farmer cooperatives in Sumatra (Indonesia), Peru, Honduras, Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Nicaragua, bought through the Cooperative Coffees importing co-op, so the mix goes entirely to OTHER; the co-op itself groups Canadian and US roasters and keeps a cupping lab in Montreal, but that is a sourcing intermediary, not a country of origin for the beans.
