Mill Street Brewery

Labatt bought Mill Street in 2015; the vendor's privacy policy names Labatt Brewing Company Limited as the operating entity within the Anheuser-Busch InBev family, Corporations Canada shows Labatt as an active federal corporation that is a wholly owned subsidiary of a listed company, and Ambev's 2025 Form 20-F lists Labatt as its Canadian subsidiary and Mill Street among its Canadian brands and plants. AB InBev (Belgium) held 62.3 percent of Ambev at the end of 2025 and the rest trades on B3 in Brazil and as NYSE ADRs, so the split of the minority between OTHER and US is an estimate. The terms of use also name a Mill Street Brewery & RTD Canada Inc., which is not a federal corporation and whose Ontario registration could not be checked.

Labatt told CBC in March 2025 that the majority of Mill Street production was moving from the expiring North York lease to its London, Ontario brewery, with small batches still brewed at the Toronto brewpub and other GTA facilities; the Ottawa and Toronto brewpubs brew their own draught. Ambev's 20-F lists a Mill Street beer and spirits plant under Canada. No source suggests any Mill Street beer is brewed outside Ontario.

The brand and its owner Labatt are run from 207 Queens Quay West in Toronto, the registered office on the Corporations Canada profile and the address in the privacy policy, and the brewpubs are in Toronto, Pearson airport, and Ottawa. Brewing staff are in London and the GTA; the 39 North York jobs were cut in 2025. Group functions sit with AB InBev abroad, but no employee count by country was found.

The vendor says its barley comes from the Canadian prairies and that it uses local packaging and ingredients where it can, while its IPAs name Citra, El Dorado, and Cashmere hops from the US and Galaxy, Taiheke, and Motueka hops from Australia and New Zealand. The split is an estimate weighted to malt and cans, which are Canadian.
