Putman Investments announced the completed acquisition of Northern Reflections on January 9, 2025, with president Maryann Darling quoted confirming the new ownership, and Retail Insider still listed the chain in Putman's portfolio in February 2026. Putman Investments describes itself as a family private equity firm based in Ancaster, Ontario, and Ricki's and Cleo, bought by Putman from Comark in 2025, now share Northern Reflections' Etobicoke head office address. Corporations Canada returns no federal corporation for either Northern Reflections or Putman Investments, so both appear to be Ontario corporations; the Ontario Business Registry could not be checked and no filing names Putman's shareholders, so this stays reported.

The vendor's sustainability page says its suppliers are certified under WRAP, BSCI, and SMETA, the audit schemes used for offshore garment factories, and that it produces 1.4 million garments a year, with no claim of Canadian production anywhere on the site. The CANADA List records manufacturing as international and primarily overseas. No page names a producing country and product pages could not be loaded to read origin labels, so the all-OTHER split is a judgment that the mid-priced knit and woven lines come from Asian contract factories.

The head office is at 21 Four Seasons Place in Etobicoke, Toronto, the chain was founded in Guelph in 1985, and the January 2025 acquisition release put the workforce at more than 860 people across 134 stores in nine provinces, since consolidated to just over 100 stores with logistics moved to the Vaughan Distribution Centre. The site describes the chain as Canadian coast to coast and no operations outside Canada are named.
