Reigning Champ

Aritzia's fiscal 2026 annual information form records the June 2021 purchase of 75 percent of CYC Design Corporation and the May 2023 early acquisition of the remaining 25 percent, and its audited statements consolidate CYC as a Canadian-domiciled subsidiary. Aritzia Inc. is a British Columbia company headquartered in Vancouver and listed on the TSX, and the Hill Shareholders, entities controlled by founder Brian Hill, hold all multiple voting shares and about 65.57 percent of the voting power, so both the controlling shareholder and the listing venue are Canadian. The BC corporate registry via OrgBook lists CYC Design Corporation as active; Corporations Canada returned no federal record for CYC, Reigning Champ, or Aritzia, consistent with provincial incorporation.

Eight products sampled across the core terry, dual fleece, heavyweight jersey, chino, flannel, performance and cashmere lines on the Canadian store are labelled made in Vietnam, with the cashmere crewneck made in Cambodia; the brand's manufacturing page no longer names a country. madeinca.ca notes that Reigning Champ moved manufacturing out of Canada as of 2025 and is selling through remaining Canadian-made stock, which is the only reason for the small Canadian share. The split is an estimate from the product labels, not a published revenue share, and the fate of the former Vancouver sewing facility could not be confirmed from any source reachable today.

Aritzia's audited statements record CYC as domiciled in Canada and its annual information form places the group head office at 611 Alexander Street, Vancouver, the same address Reigning Champ gives on its own terms page. The brand's careers page describes it as Vancouver-based and its four boutiques are in Vancouver and Toronto, so its staff are concentrated in Canada.

Reigning Champ says its fabrics are developed with partner mills or bought from specialist manufacturers without naming countries, and one product page cites fabric from Portugal. The parent's annual information form says the group sources most raw materials from mills in Australia, China, France, India, Italy, Japan, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam, and the garments are sewn in Vietnam and Cambodia. The split is an estimate from that list weighted toward Asia, with a small Canadian share for design and the Shopify storefront; Reigning Champ's own mill list is not published.
