A 2019 Retail Insider profile quotes founders James Yurichuk and Anthony DeBartolo saying the company took no outside investors and ran with total control of the vision, and no acquisition, parent, or outside investor turned up in other searches.

Wuxly says it sources its Sorona insulation and its recycled nylon and polyester from Blue Sign-approved and Oeko-Tex certified mills, and states plainly that there are few local options for technical textiles and none that meet the performance it needs, implying most of its fabric comes from mills outside Canada. Sorona is a bio-based fiber developed by a US company, and the storefront runs on Shopify, a Canadian platform. No country of origin is disclosed for the mills themselves, so this split is an estimate weighted toward overseas sourcing.
